My boys adore it, as it’s like having ice cream for breakfast. You can top it with granola, nut butter, yoghurt, mixed seeds, fresh fruit – whatever you wish – or just enjoy it as it comes."

ingredients

  • 1 sliced frozen banana
  • 150 gram frozen mixed berries (such as blueberries, strawberries and raspberries)
  • 1 tsp acai powder
  • 1/4 tsp maca powder
  • 1/2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 60 milliliter almond milk
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 2 pitted medjool dates

Method

  • Step 1

    Place all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and pulse until you’ve reached a soft-serve consistency.

  • Step 2

    You want a semi-frozen finish, so resist adding more liquid and instead just keep blending to force the frozen fruit to break down

  • Step 3

    Serve immediately. Be sure to eat it straight away before it melts. Enjoy.
