Moonshine and Sage Cocktail
"Moonshine & Sage Cocktail! ?❤️ This Holiday Season will be filled with tons of delicious (and heavy) foods! While I love a fun and festive cocktail as good as the next gal I also love making a cocktail beneficial! The addition of bitters and honey in my Moonshine & Sage Cocktail is wonderful for digestion. Depending on the bitters used it can also impart many other health benefits!"

For the Sage Honey Simple Syrup

  • 1/ 2 cup honey
  • 10-12 leaves fresh sage

For the Cocktail

  • 2 ounces moonshine
  • dash bitters
  • 3 tablespoons Sage Honey Simple Syrup, recipe below
  • 1 sprig fresh sage


  • Step 1

    To make the simple syrup: Combine 1 cup water, honey and sage in a pot over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low and simmer for 3 minutes. Turn off the heat and let syrup cool.

  • Step 2

    Fill glasses with ice. Pour moonshine, bitters, and simple syrup over the ice. Garnish with fresh sage. Add more honey if not sweet enough.
