ingredients
- 2 boxes Annie's Mac & Cheese
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 12 ounces crab meat
- 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled, plus more for topping
- 1/3 cup chives, chopped, plus more for serving
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- broccoli sprouts, for garnish
Method
Step 1
Cook both boxes of pasta according to package instructions.
Step 2
In an oven-proof skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add onion. Cook until golden brown. Add milk and both cheese packets. Stir.
Step 3
Once cheese sauce is bubbling, add cooked pasta, crab meat, bacon, chives, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Stir and cook for another few minutes until heated through.
Step 4
Heat broiler. Add Parmesan cheese on top and broil on high for a few minutes. Garnish with broccoli sprouts, additional bacon and chives.
