ingredients

  • 2 boxes Annie's Mac & Cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 12 ounces crab meat
  • 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled, plus more for topping
  • 1/3 cup chives, chopped, plus more for serving
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • broccoli sprouts, for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

    Cook both boxes of pasta according to package instructions.

  • Step 2

    In an oven-proof skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add onion. Cook until golden brown. Add milk and both cheese packets. Stir.

  • Step 3

    Once cheese sauce is bubbling, add cooked pasta, crab meat, bacon, chives, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Stir and cook for another few minutes until heated through.

  • Step 4

    Heat broiler. Add Parmesan cheese on top and broil on high for a few minutes. Garnish with broccoli sprouts, additional bacon and chives.
