1 slice sourdough (or other bread)
1/2 avocado, thinly sliced
1/2 tbsp vegan butter
1/4 lemon (or sub 1/2 tsp ume plum or apple cider vinegar)
1 tsp hemp hearts
1 tsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp sesame seeds
crushed red pepper flakes, for sprinkling
salt and pepper, to season
In a skillet or non stick pan over medium-low heat, toast nutritional yeast and sesame seeds until lightly browned and fragrant, about five minutes.
Lightly toast sourdough bread. Spread layer of vegan butter, and add slices of avocado.
Top toast with hemp hearts, juice from squeezed lemon, toasted nutritional yeast and sesame seeds, and crushed red pepper flakes. Season generously with salt and pepper.
