ingredients

  • 1 block Tofu
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Cashews
  • 1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Amino
  • 2 tablespoons White Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 cloves minced Garlic
  • 1 inch grated Ginger

Method

  • Step 1

    Press out excess water from tofu, about 30 minutes to 1 hour prior to cooking.

  • Step 2

    Cut up tofu into cubes and place on a skillet with the olive oil.

  • Step 3

    As the tofu starts to brown, break up cubes into tiny pieces. Let cook for 15- 20 minutes to get crispy and brown.

  • Step 4

    Make the sauce while the tofu is cooking. In a small bowl whisk together hoisin sauce, coconut amino, white vinegar, siracha, honey, garlic, and ginger.

  • Step 5

    Once the tofu is crispy, add in the cashews and mix together.

  • Step 6

    Pour in the sauce, let everything cook together for about 1-2 minutes. Eat by itself. OR serve it with broccoli and rice to make it the ultimate Chinese meal.
