ingredients

  • 17 1/2 ounces Beef
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoons Minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 1 pieces Onions
  • 1 pieces Green onions
  • 1 pieces Enoki mushrooms
  • pinch Black pepper

Method

  • Step 1

Begin by sprinkling 3 tablespoons of sugar over your sliced beef. Allow the beef to sit for 10-20 minutes. This step is crucial as it helps tenderize the meat, making it even more flavorful and juicy when cooked. The sugar helps break down the fibers in the beef, creating a better texture.

  • Step 2

While the beef is resting, slice your vegetables into thin strips. For this recipe, I’m using onion, green onion, and mushrooms, but feel free to use any vegetables you like or have in your fridge. The thin slices help them cook quickly and evenly when stir-fried with the beef.

  • Step 3

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, minced garlic, and all of the sliced vegetables. Add this mixture to the marinated beef and mix everything together. Make sure the beef is coated evenly with the marinade, allowing the flavors to sink in.

  • Step 4

Heat a large pan or skillet on high heat and add a little oil. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef and vegetable mixture to the pan. Stir-fry the ingredients for about 5-7 minutes until the beef is cooked through and the vegetables are tender. The beef will release its juices, and the sauce will reduce to create a flavorful glaze on the meat and veggies.
