Stop spending all your money on boba when you can make it at home! Making the boba pearls is so satisfying and the end result is so delicious. You only need a handful of ingredients to make a perfect pink treat at home.

ingredients
- 1/2 pink pitaya
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons tapioca powder
- 3/4 cup tapioca powder
- Honey or maple syrup
Method
Step 1
In a saucepan, heat up the pitaya, sugar and water for couple of minutes. Strain the mixture.
Step 2
Returning the pan to heat, mix in 2 tablespoons of tapioca powder. Warm up the mixture until jelly texture forms. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3
Once the mixture has cooled, add the remaining ¾ cup tapioca powder. Mix to combine.
Step 4
Form little balls out of the mixture using your hands.
Step 5
Bring water in a saucepan to boil. Boil the balls for 20 minutes. After, let the boiled mixture sit in the hot water for an additional 20 minutes.
Step 6
Rinse the bubbles in cold water, and sweeten with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
Step 7
Serve over ice with milk and the drink of your choice.
