This may sound like an unexpected pair, but ice cream with pumpkin seed oil is a delicacy across Europe and a perfect frozen treat on a warm day. Serving olive oil on ice cream has become more mainstream in recent years, but toasted pumpkin seed oil adds a fragrant, earthy, savory note to jazz up a simple scoop of ice cream. This is just about the easiest, most elegant dessert you can serve to guests to wrap up your next dinner party.

Vanilla ice cream or chocolate ice cream are the best flavors to pair with toasted pumpkin seed oil, but I bet pistachio, cherry, or matcha ice cream would be delicious too! If you have never tried toasted pumpkin seed oil, it has a rich flavor similar to sesame oil. You can find my favorite brand of toasted pumpkin seed oil from La Tourangelle on Feedfeed's Amazon Storefront here. At first, the oil appears a toasty brown color, but once it spreads over the ice cream it reveals a gorgeous greenish hue. Finish it off with a sprinkle of sea salt for balance.
