ingredients

  • 2 cups plant based milk
  • 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar or sweetener of choice
  • 1-2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Toppings

  • Whipped coconut cream or olé whip
  • Cacao powder to top
  • More peanut butter to top
  • Chopped chocolate
  • Coffee syrup

Method

  • Step 1

    Place all of the hot chocolate ingredients in to a saucepan and bring to a simmer, whisking whilst it thickens. Pour in to desired cups and serve with toppings like whipped cream, runny peanut butter, cacao powder and chocolate chips! Plus an extra drizzle of coffee syrup!

  • Step 2

    For the coffee syrup: add 1 tbsp freeze dried coffee to a cup and dilute with 1 tbsp boiling water, add golden syrup or syrup of choice and mix well until you have a syrup consistency. Store in a glass container at room temperature for future use.
