ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons Moong Dal/ Yellow lentil
  • 8 pieces Bitter gourd
  • 1 teaspoons Paanchphoron
  • To Taste Salt
  • Mustard oil
  • 1 teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • Ghee
  • 1 teaspoons Crushed Ginger

Method

  • Step 1

    Chop UCCHE bitter gourd into fine slices. Pour mustard oil in pan. Fry bitter gourd slices and take out on a plate once they become golden.

  • Step 2

    Pour water in pressure cooker. Add water double the amount of Dal . Dry Roast Moong Dal. Wash them and put it in pressure cooker. Add salt to taste. Add pinch of turmeric powder. Add crushed ginger. Pressure cook for 1-2 whistle.

  • Step 3

    Add ghee in pan. Temper with 1 Tsp Paanchphoron. Add fried bitter gourd slices. Pour the Dal next. Add salt to taste. Add little bit water. Cook till Dal starts boiling. Put off flame. Serve with rice.
