ingredients
- 8 tbsp Mug Dal/ Yellow lentil
- 1/2 thinly sliced Ginger slice
- To Taste Salt
- 1/2 cup Tomato
- 1 cup Cauliflower florets
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoons Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoons Turmeric powder
- Mustard oil
Method
Step 1
Dry roast the Dal. Wash throughly and put in pressure cooker. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and salt and water as much needed. Cook for 1 whistle.
Step 2
Put oil in pan. Put the cauliflower florets(1 cup). Add garam masala powder(1 tsp) and salt( to taste) and fry them till the florets become golden. Set them aside.
Step 3
Temper the same oil with cumin seeds. Add chopped tomato (1/2 cup). Cook till tomatoes become mushy. Add the fried cauliflower florets. Pour the Dal. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and salt. Cook for few minutes in high flame. Transfer to a bowl and serve.
