ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons Red lentil
  • 1 pieces Onion
  • 6 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoons Indian Five Spice Mix
  • To Taste Salt
  • To Taste Sugar
  • Mustard oil
  • 1 teaspoons Turmeric Powder

Method

  • Step 1

    Wash Dal throughly. Put it in pressure cooker. Add water. Add salt to taste and pinch of turmeric powder. Cook for 1 whistle. As cooker cools down, take out the Dal in a Bowl.

  • Step 2

    Pour oil in pan. Temper with 1 Tsp Indian Five Spice Mix. Chop onion and garlic cloves. Put it in pan. Fry them golden. Add pressure cooked Dal.

  • Step 3

    Add salt and sugar to taste. Add pinch of turmeric powder. Mix everything. Lower the flame and wait till Dal starts boiling. Mix well and put off flame. Serve with rice.
