ingredients

  • 2 pieces sliced Jackfruit
  • 1 pieces chopped Potato
  • Bengal Gram
  • 1 pieces sliced Tomato
  • slices Ginger, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons Garam Masala powder
  • 1 teaspoons Coriander Powder
  • teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • To Taste Sugar

Method

  • Step 1

    Perboil jackfruit cubes and potato cubes and set aside after draining water out. Make paste of tomato and ginger.

  • Step 2

    Pour mustard oil in pan. Wait till vapour comes out. Temper with 1 Tsp Jeera. Put the jackfruit cubes in pan. Lower the flame and start frying pieces.

  • Step 3

    Add potatoes after few minutes. Keep on frying till veggies start changing its colour. Add tomato ginger paste. Add all the masalas. Add turmeric powder and salt to taste.

  • Step 4

    Lower the flame after mixing everything. Cover with a lid and wait till raw smell of masala goes away.

  • Step 5

    Remove lid after 10-20 minutes slow cooking. Check the condition of masala. Add water and mix with the veggies. Sprinkle sugar to taste and cover with a lid again.

  • Step 6

    Cook till water absorbs the flavour and veggies soften. Remove lid and check in between. Sprinkle 1 Tsp Garam Masala powder and finish cooking.
