ingredients

  • 1 cups Kabuli Chana/ Chickpeas
  • 1 pieces Tomato
  • 1/2 inch Ginger Slices
  • 1 teaspoons Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 teaspoons Garam Masala powder
  • 1 pack Chana Masala Powder
  • To Taste Salt
  • 4 teaspoons Curd
  • 2 pieces Cinnamon sticks

Method

  • Step 1

    Soak Kabuli Chana/ Chickpeas overnight in water. Next morning, drain out the water and put it in pressure cooker. Add pinch of salt and turmeric powder. Cook for 20 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Make paste of tomato and ginger. Take curd in a Bowl. Add black pepper powder and Garam Masala powder. Make paste. Make paste of Chana Masala Powder with water.

  • Step 3

    Pour oil in pan. Put the paste of tomato and ginger first . Saute for 2 minutes. Add boiled Chana next. Add paste of curd. Add salt to taste. Cook in medium flame for few minutes. Add paste of Masala powder. Cook till raw smell of masala goes away.

  • Step 4

    Add water. Wait till water absorbs the flavour. Put off flame. Serve with rice or roti.
