- 1 1/2 cups Gobindobhog Rice
- 2 cups Mug Dal
- 1 teaspoons Turmeric Powder
- To Taste Salt
- To Taste Sugar
- 1 cups Ghee
- 1 Dry Red Chilli
- 1/2 teaspoons Jeera
- Cashew Nuts
- 1 teaspoons Garam Masala powder
- 1 pieces sliced Potato Cubes
Method
Step 1
Wash rice well. Dry roast Mug Dal. Pour ghee in pan. Temper with 1 Dry Red Chilli and jeera. Add dal in pan. Add potato Cubes. Add water. Cover the pot. Cook till Dal softens
Step 2
Once Dal softens. Add rice. Mix everything. Cook till dal and rice gets cooked. Add salt and sugar to taste. Add turmeric powder.
Step 3
Cook for few minutes more. Add 1 Tsp Garam Masala powder and finish cooking.
