ingredients

  • 150 gram Karela/ Bitter Gourd
  • 1/2 cups Besan / Gram Flour
  • 1 cups Mustard Powder
  • 1 teaspoons Turmeric Powder
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1 cups Mustard Oil

Method

  • Step 1

    Deseed the karelas/ bitter gourd. Toss them in 1 tsp Turmeric powder and salt. Put in a pan. Steam them till karela softens.

  • Step 2

    Soak mustard powder in water. Add salt and turmeric powder (pinch). Blend in a grinder and take out the paste.

  • Step 3

    Stuff karelas with the paste. Put besan in a bowl. Add water and make a paste. Seal the karelas with the besan paste.

  • Step 4

    Put mustard oil in pan. Fry the karelas till it becomes crispy outside.

  • Step 5

    Transfer to a plate and serve.
