I haven't gone to the market yet and my post-apocalypse-anti-zombie food supplies are almost finished (ok I'm definitely addicted to Walking Dead I suppose ?), but that 'new recipe' Puttanesca risotto looks really good. I've just used the leftovers in my fridge (olive taggiasche, tomato puree, parmesan) and some spices from the South of Italy. Remember to use a high quality rice (Carnaroli in this case), simmer with white wine and cook until creamy with a knob of butter. Enjoy ?
Recipe Intro From feedfeed
Legend has it that puttanesca was first created in the 1950s when a restaurant owner called Petti had nothing more than four tomatoes, two olives and some capers in which to make a sauce for a group of hungry customers. Although there is a basic recipe for the sugo or sauce, its the kind of recipe that can be made from whatever you have in your cupboard. here added to a risotto with olives, tomatoes, herbs and a grating of parmesan.
