- One small quarter cup of chickpea water (just in case)
- One small cup of fava beans soaked and rinsed
- Two pinches of soaked chopped parsley for garnish
Method
Step 1
Heat two fire stations on the stove at medium heat with water and chickpeas and fava beans separately. For chickpeas boil for ten minutes or until they are fully soft and for fava beans for thirty minutes or until they are soft.
Step 2
Heat a small pan on medium heat. Pour one tbsp of oil with garlic and salt and cook the garlic for three minutes or until they become brown.
Step 3
Process the garlic for thirty seconds or until they are minced. Next pour in the chickpeas, cumin, tahina, the remaining oil, pepper and lemon juice and process for thirty minutes or until the mixture becomes smooth and thick. Add chickpea water if needed.
Step 4
Grab two deep bowls of your choice, portion out the hummus evenly, top up two small handfuls of fava beans(if there are leftovers use them for something else) and for the final touch two pinches of parsley on each hummus bowl!😁 Chag Sameach!❤️
