ingredients
- Two large cups of oats soaked overnight and drained and rinsed
- One large cup of buckwheat soaked overnight and drained and rinsed
- One tbsp of salt
- Juice of one whole lemon
- One and a half tbsps of turmeric powder
- One large cup of chia seeds
Method
Step 1
Process the buckwheat, salt and lemon juice first in the food processor until the consistency is smooth and then pour in the oats and process until everything is smooth and runny (not too runny). Afterwards pour the mixture into a large bowl, cover it with a small towel and let the dough ferment overnight.
Step 2
Preheat oven at 240 degrees Celsius with a small tray of water. Mix turmeric and chia seeds into the dough and let the dough set for thirty seconds to a minute. Prepare a flat baking tray with baking paper. Dip your hands in water before shaping each roll. Sprinkle water over each roll before scoring them and finally place them in the oven for forty minutes or until they are well cooked.
Step 3
Once the rolls are well cooked take them out of the oven and let them cool. Enjoy!
