Extra smoky fried cabbage is mixed with crispy bacon and served with a fried egg. This bowl is a delicous # gluten-free option that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

ingredients

  • 1 small cabbage head
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • Chopped up bacon slices
  • Desired amount of eggs
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Oil or butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400. Lay bacon ends out on a parchment paper lined baking tray and cook for about 15-20 minutes. *every oven is different so keep a close eye on them

  • Step 2

    Dice up your onion. Add butter to a frying pan and add your onions. Cook down on medium heat for a few minutes.

  • Step 3

    Chop and slice up your cabbage. Add it to your onions with smoked paprika + garlic powder + salt and pepper and begin cooking cabbage down-stirring often-until desired tenderness.

  • Step 4

    Fry up those eggs. Scoop your cabbage + onions into a bowl. Top with bacon ends, fried egg, and parsley!
