  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounce wheel brie
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • Honey, to taste
  • Thyme, to taste
  • 1 egg, for egg wash

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  • Step 2

    Place the thawed puff pastry sheet on a clean surface or in a small skillet.

  • Step 3

    Cut the top rind off the Brie wheel. Center the brie wheel on the puff pastry.

  • Step 4

    Sprinkle chopped walnuts evenly over the brie. Drizzle honey to taste, and sprinkle a pinch of thyme over the top.

  • Step 5

    Fold the corners of the puff pastry over the brie, covering it completely.

  • Step 6

    In a small bowl, lightly whisk the egg to create an egg wash.

  • Step 7

    Brush the egg wash evenly over the puff pastry to give it a golden finish when baked.

    Transfer the wrapped brie to a baking sheet or dish lined with parchment paper.
