"Delicious Italian biscotti with Chestnut Flour, Candied Orange, Dark Chocolate & Almonds"

Serves or Makes: 40 biscotti


  • 200 green chestnut flour
  • 100 grams 00 flour
  • 2 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 6 tablespoon water
  • 100 gram coconut sugar
  • 100 gram almonds
  • 20 gram candied orange peel
  • 70 green dark chocolate
  • 30 green melted plant-based butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • Step 1

    Mix chia seeds and water and set aside.

  • Step 2

    In a bowl, mix the chia/water with the sugar and whisk for 2-3 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Add the melted butter and continue to whisk until frothy.

  • Step 4

    Add the candied orange, both types of flour and baking powder. Mix with a fork or using your hands. Next add chocolate chips and almonds.

  • Step 5

    Transfer the mixture to a lightly floured surface and make it into a log with your hands. Then divide the dough into 3 equal parts and shape each to a sausage of about 4 cm in diameter.

  • Step 6

    Place each on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and bake in a static oven at 180 ° for 20 minutes on the central shelf, then take them out of the oven and after a few minutes slices them into 1.5 cm thick pieces.

  • Step 7

    Place them again on the baking tray and bake for another 15 minutes. When completely cool, transfer to an airtight container and serve them the next day (if you can wait!)
