Coffee Oreo Ice Cream

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1 teaspoon hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 Oreo cookies

Chocolate ganache

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream

Method

For the coffee oreo ice cream:

  • Step 1

    Add the hot water and instant coffee to a mason jar. Use a spoon to stir the instant coffee in until dissolved.

  • Step 2

    Add in the heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract.

  • Step 3

    Put the lid on the jar and shake it for about 30 seconds to combine the ingredients.

  • Step 4

    Break up the Oreo’s and add those to the mason jar.

For the chocolate ganache:

  • Step 1

    Add the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments until the chocolate is melted.

  • Step 2

    Stir in the heavy whipping cream until the chocolate ganache is smooth.

  • Step 3

    Pour the chocolate ganache into the ice cream mixture. Use a spoon to swirl the chocolate ganache into the ice cream.

  • Step 4

    Place the ice cream in the freezer, with the lid off, for 5 hours or until it’s completely frozen. Once frozen, scoop and enjoy!
