peanut butter cheesecake: If you like chocolate and peanut butter, allow us to introduce you to your soulmate. This decadent recipe from @linda_lomelino’s stunning new cookbook My Sweet Kitchen has captured our hearts. With tempting recipes like malted milk brownies, apple and strawberry pie with cardamom, and hazelnut cake with espresso and nutella, plus chapters on how to decorate, photograph, and style your creations, this beautiful cookbook is a must-have for anyone who loves sweets and wants to learn how to take something ordinary and turn it into a jaw-dropping masterpiece. It didn’t take long to decide which dessert to make first: since chocolate and peanut butter is our patronus, this recipe was calling our names. Resting on a crispy crust made with crushed oreos and roasted salted peanuts, the ultra-creamy peanut-buttery filling is rich, velvety, and irresistibly smooth. Topped with a silky peanut butter chocolate ganache, and garnished with roasted peanuts and chopped peanut butter cups, each layer is pure chocolate peanut butter deliciousness.

pan-seared artichoke with an aioli trio: Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! You know what they say: once you pan-sear an artichoke black, you can never go back. We have always steamed our artichokes, but after discovering this method we realized how much more flavor was possible. Simply dressed with fresh-squeezed lemon juice, whole cloves of garlic, a drizzle of oil, and a pinch of flaky sea salt, they are wrapped in foil and baked in the oven till they come out steaming hot, filling your kitchen with the aroma of roasted garlic. And just as you were thinking it doesn’t get better, it actually does: throwing the artichokes on a grill for a few minutes brings an enticing smokiness that you can’t get from the oven alone. And since today is a special day, we decided to create not one, not two, but a trio of sauces for your dipping pleasure. With candles flickering and your favorite tunes playing in the background, this Valentine’s Day will be a night to remember.

white rabbit: You will never be late for a very important date again: this refreshing cocktail takes less than two minutes to make. Cold milk and half and half are mixed with brandy, a splash of hazelnut frangelico liqueur, vanilla extract, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar to sweeten things up. Everything is simply mixed in a shaker with ice, poured into a chilled glass, and that’s it. Dusting the top with cocoa powder makes a striking garnish and brings just a hint of chocolate aroma and flavor when you sip this white wonder. Quick to make, and super addicting, be sure to hide everyone’s car keys before mixing these drinks, because when you follow the white rabbit, you never know where you’ll end up.

kinda, sorta patatas bravas: We have been hearing so many wonderful things about @turshen’s new cookbook Small Victories, and couldn’t wait to get our hands on a copy. It was difficult to pick what to try first since she tempts us with so many mouthwatering choices. Our hearts were immediately drawn to the spicy Spanish dish that we fell in love with while visiting family in Bilbao, and we were intrigued by the clever title. In this easy recipe, bite-size fingerling potatoes are simmered until tender, then tossed in a hot skillet with spicy smoked paprika and a pinch of salt before roasting in the oven, turning deeply browned and extra crispy. These perfectly cooked potatoes are then topped with a spicy homemade mayo made with minced garlic, smoked paprika, tangy red wine vinegar, tomato paste, and cayenne pepper. Garnished with fresh parsley and flaky sea salt, this simple and satisfying Spanish side is surprisingly spicy and a superb sizzling selection to serve with supper.

sweet potato burgers with chipotle mayo: Happy Wednesday! Thanks to everyone for tuning in over the weekend and following our adventures at the Netflix after-party for the Golden Globes! We’ve just about recovered and these burgers have helped nurse us back to reality. Here, sweet potatoes are roasted in the oven until caramelized and bubbly. Combined with smooth cannellini beans, and seasoned with fresh cilantro, chopped scallions, parmesan cheese and spiced with garlic, ginger, smoked paprika, and cumin, the tanginess from the lime juice and zest also colors this bright orange mixture with lively speckles of jade green. Formed into patties and coated in panko bread crumbs, they are sautéed until deeply browned and delightfully crispy, then topped with an addicting homemade chipotle mayo for a smoky spicy kick. Add the traditional lettuce, tomato, onions, and slices of avocado, and let the sweet potato burger revolution begin.

white chocolate fondue: Five simple ingredients is all it takes to make this quick crowd-pleaser. We partnered with @thefeedfeed and @lindt_chocolate to create the ultimate dish for your Golden Globe viewing festivities. We started with the decadent Lindt White Chocolate Classic Recipe Bar and slowly melted it with cream, butter, vanilla, and a pinch of salt, transforming it into the smoothest, richest, and creamiest white chocolate fondue for your dipping pleasure. And how cool is this? Lindt also invited us to a Pre-Golden Globes Luncheon as well as the Netflix After Party, which they are sponsoring. We will be dressing up and reporting live from the event on our Instagram stories on January 6 and 8, so join us on our chocolate adventures and catch some behind-the-scenes fun from the red carpet. chocolate sugar cookies: Thank you to the lovely hosts Natalie and Holly at @themodernproper for inviting us to participate in their virtual #CalmAndBrightCookieNight cookie exchange. Our jumbo-sized contributions, adapted from Sarah Kieffer’s @sarah_kieffer new release, “The Vanilla Bean Baking Book” are a chocolate lover’s dream. Using a whopping eighty-five grams of dough per cookie, one entire batch makes ten gigantic servings. Hot from the oven, they come out airy and puffy, but within minutes, they cool and flatten into the chewiest cookie imaginable, like a condensed brownie with seductively crispy edges and deep chocolatey flavor. Cookies may not be the answer to every problem in the world right now, but these rich and chewy, crisp and chocolatey treats are certainly a positive step in the right direction.

twice-baked cheesy mashed potatoes: You may want to sit down for this one. Everybody knows Martha Stewart’s Perfect Mac and Cheese recipe. It’s the creamiest and cheesiest mac and cheese you could imagine, which inspired a curious idea: what if we started with her recipe, but instead of macaroni, we used mashed potatoes? Oozing with melted gruyère and sharp cheddar, seasoned with freshly ground nutmeg, and a pinch of cayenne pepper, these buttery potatoes are then sprinkled with another layer of cheese, topped with homemade croutons, and baked until golden and perfectly crispy. Ultra creamy and garnished with minced chives, please welcome the newest member to your Thanksgiving table.
