Pizza Style Open Sandwiches


1 french baguette (rye)

For sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
125 gr yogurt
1 egg

For topping
100 gr cecil cheese or kashar cheese
100 gr aged kashar cheese
3 - 4 cherry tomatoes
2 eggs
20 - 25 little raw meatballs
Black pepper

For meatballs
500 gr ground beef
1 grated onion
1 dessertspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
1 - 1,5 tablespoons olive oil
100 gr wet breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
1 egg (optional)

For serving
Fresh parsley


Cut the baguette in the middle and then vertically. And place these 4 bagette pieces on the tray.

Mix yogurt, olive oil & egg and make a sauce. Pour half of this sauce on baguettes.

To prepare the meatballs; mix all the ingredients in a large bowl by hand. Use 100 gr of this mixture. (You can save the other part in the deep freezer) Roll meatballs to about the size of a chickpea.

Top the sauced bagette bases with cecil or kashar cheese, aged kashar, eggs, tomato slices, black pepper and raw meatballs. And pour other half of the sauce on them.

Preheat the oven and bake it at 180C for 20 - 25 minutes.

Serve with fresh parsley.
