ingredients
- 1 pizza dough
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 strips of bacon
- 4 large eggs
- 2 sliced green onions
- 2 tablespoons honey
Method
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
Step 2
Place the bacon strips onto the cold skillet, making sure they don’t overlap. urn the heat to medium-low, and cook the bacon until browned and crispy, about 8-12 minutes. Remove the bacon to a paper towel lined plate and allow it to cool before chopping.
Step 3
Stretch and press the dough into the skillet, pushing it up the sides slightly. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the top of the dough.
Step 4
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza dough. Spread the cooked and crumbled bacon over the cheese.
Step 5
Baked in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the pizza from the oven, and carefully crack the eggs onto the pizza, spacing them evenly.
Step 7
Return to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes more. The edges should be golden brown, the cheese melted and bubbly, and the egg whites should be set while the yolks remain runny. You can cook longer if you want the yolks to be more set.
Step 8
Once out of the oven, drizzle with honey and sprinkle the sliced green onions over the top.
Step 9
Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes in the skillet before slicing and serving.
