For as long as I can remember, baking has been my favorite pastime. When I am not working, I find myself baking. Mostly because it is therapeutic for me and I can really stray away from reality for a bit. The best part of baking for me is having friends and family try my recipes and see them smile! Seeing others, especially my loved ones, smile truly does make me so happy. That is the exact feeling I strive to create when sharing my recipes. My goal is to deliver delicious, simple recipes using premium ingredients that are attainable to everyone, including you and your family!

I was so excited when Nielsen-Massey Vanillas reached out to me, they are family owned and produce top of the line premium Pure Vanilla Extracts. This is something that I really appreciate when it comes to any food company. I was able to try their Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract and their Pure Chocolate Extract in my tart recipe and the quality is unmatched! The flavors are so bold and pair perfectly in any baked good recipe.

While I was creating this Chocolate tart, I have to admit I was a bit intimidated by the meringue topping. Prior to this, I only made a Swiss meringue just a few times. Meringues are absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing, I thought to myself, "wow this must be difficult to achieve!". Nielsen-Massey Vanillas has started offering videos to help master your basic baking skills at BetterYourBake.com. I was lucky enough to try out some tips on "How To Make Two Types Of Meringue" and confidently complete my chocolate tart with a fluffy Swiss Meringue by using the skills taught in their video! It's safe to say I will be referring to this site for all of my baking techniques moving forward!
