ingredients
- 250 grams sliced into thin strips chicken
- 1 cut lengthwise pak choi
- 1 cubed red bell pepper
- 1/2 finely sliced onion
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 4 tablesp light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoo sesam oil
- 3 tablespook shaoxing wine
- 1 tablespook cornstarch mixed with 1/2 cup water
- 200 grams fresh egg noodles
- 1 tablespook vegetable oil
- salt and pepper
Method
Step 1
Marinate the chicken with onions, garlic, salt, pepper and 1 tablespoon soy sauce. In a hot wok add the oil and stir-fry the chicken for 2 minutes on high heat.
Step 2
Add the bell peppers and pak choi and stir fry for another minute.
Step 3
In a bowl mix the soy sauce, shaoxing wine and sesame oil. Add it to the stir-fry and stir well. Pour in the cornstarch mixture and lower the heat. Leave to bubble for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 4
Toss in the fresh noodles and stir-fry for 2 minutes until they are cooked through. Season to taste.
Step 5
Finish with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds and serve with a sweet chilli sauce.
