A Note from Feedfeed

Be your own barista and whip up this delicious homemade oat milk latte for brunch. The maple syrup and freeze dried raspberries give this latte a sweet and fruity flavor.

ingredients

  • 100 grams oats
  • 600 millileters filtered water
  • Pinch sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 20 grams freeze dried strawberries, blitzed to a powder
  • 1/2 Tonka Bean, finely grated

Method

  • Step 1

    Begin with the oat milk. Add the oats to a bowl and cover with water. Soak for 4 hours or overnight at room temperature.

  • Step 2

    Strain the mixture and discard the soaking water, rinse the oats for a few seconds to remove the excess starch.

  • Step 3

    Add the oats and filtered water, along with the salt to a food processor and blend for 2 minutes or until completely smooth.

  • Step 4

    Line a sieve with some muslin and strain to give a delicious thick oat milk.

  • Step 5

    Add this to a small pan with the maple and strawberries, whisk and bring to a simmer. Whisk vigourously to form a foam then pour into two mugs.
