Crunchy Salad with Spicy Peanut Dressing
This Asian salad with spicy peanut dressing will be your new addiction! This sauce brings so much flavor and some heat to compliment all the flavors of the salad. -@girlwiththeironcast

Spicy Peanut Dressing


  • 1/4 cup room temperature creamy peanut butter
  • 21/2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 11/2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons tamari, or soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons avocado, or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste

Asian Salad Components


  • 1 head romaine, washed, dried, cut into 1-in pieces
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup matchstick carrots
  • 1/2 cup cooked according to package directions edamame
  • 1/3 cup roughly chopped cashews
  • 1/4 cup roughly chopped cilantro
  • 1/3 cup crispy chow mein noodles


  • Step 1

    In a small bowl, whisk together all of the dressing ingredients. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed (see note).

  • Step 2

    In a large bowl, mix together all the salad components and then drizzle the spicy peanut dressing over the top. Serve alone, with grilled chicken, or grilled shrimp.
