ingredients

  • 8 ounces tequila
  • 3 ounces triple sec
  • 10 ounces apple cider
  • 1 ounce fresh blood orange juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces agave nectar
  • 4 handfuls ice
  • 4 slices lime
  • Cinnamon sugar, for rimming glass (optional)
  • 4 cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

In a blender, combine the tequila, triple sec, apple cider, orange juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and ice.

  • Step 2

Blend the mixture until you achieve your desired consistency. Start with fewer ice cubes and gradually add more, as needed, to avoid watering down the drink. For a frozen margarita consistency, continue to add ice until it's reached.

  • Step 3

Take a lime slice and run it along the rim of a fresh rocks glass. Dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar to coat it.

  • Step 4

Carefully pour the blended margarita into the prepared glass.

  • Step 5

Garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick before serving.
