ingredients
- 1 packages store-bought shortcrust-pastry
- 2 pieces chopped leeks
- 250 grams sliced bacon
- 200 milliliters milk
- 2 eggs
- 50 milliliters sour cream
- 50 grams grated cheese
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 pinch herbes de Provence
Method
Step 1
We’ll start by cooking the bacon in a large skillet for a few minutes or until nicely browned. It should take around 5-7 minutes.
Step 2
In the same pan, add the chopped leeks, season with some pepper, and cook over medium heat until the leeks are softened, stirring from time to time.
Step 3
In the meantime, mix together the milk, eggs, and sour cream in a bowl. Season with pepper and herbs de Provence, and add your favorite grated cheese to the mixture.
Step 4
Take your leek and bacon mixture and spoon it over the bottom of your tart. Pour over the mix of eggs, milk, and cheese.
Step 5
Bake for 35-40 min at 180°C. You will know your quiche is done when the top will be golden-brown. Let the quiche cool for 10-15 min until you serve it.
