PB and J with Homemade Blueberry Chia Jam

A Note from Feedfeed

We love a good ol' PB & J anytime, anywhere! This one takes a more DIY approach with homemade jam. While we do have a soft spot for blueberries, you can use any frozen berry you have on hand.

Serves or Makes: 1


For the Blueberry Chia Jam

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • Sweetener, of choice, optional

For the PB & J

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tablespoon cashew butter
  • 1/ 2 banana, sliced into rounds


  • Step 1

    Make the jam: Microwave frozen blueberries until warm (about 1-2 minutes). Mash them using a fork until only small chunks remain. Stir in chia seeds (and sweetener if using). Place in the freezer for 20 minutes, or until thick! Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Step 2

    Spread cashew butter and chia jam on bread. Top with banana.
