Smoky Bacon, Mascarpone And Flat Leaf Parsley Pizza
RECIPE:<br><br> Ingredients <br> Pizza Sauce<br> 1 tin of crushed tomatoes<br> 1 small brown onion<br> 1 clove of garlic<br> Olive oil<br> <br> Topping<br> Thinly Sliced Smoky Bacon (available from most delicatessens)<br> Marscapone cheese<br> 1 cup of flat leaf parsley, roughly chopped<br> <br> Thin pizza bases, both home made or pre made work great <br><br> Finely chop onion and garlic and sauté in olive oil over a low heat until the onion is translucent (not brown). Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for about 15 minutes until the liquid reduces and the sauce thickens. Set aside to cool. <br><br> Spoon cooled tomato sauce over the pizza base, top with a thin layer of smoky bacon and dollops of marscapone cheese. Bake in a hot oven for approx 10 - 15 minutes. Remove from oven, scatter fresh flat leaf parsley, drizzle with olive oil and cracked pepper. Enjoy!
