ingredients

Oatmeal

  • 1/2 cup jumbo oats
  • 1/4 cup smooth chocolate soy isolate protein, see notes below
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons dairy free yoghurt

Toppings

  • 1/2 tablespoon almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate cherry granola
  • 5 frozen or fresh raspberries

Method

  • Step 1

    Heat the oats and almond milk on the stove until cooked and creamy. Off the heat, stir in the protein powder, cacao powder and yoghurt if using. Top with the suggested toppings above and devour!

  • Step 2

    Note : if you don’t use protein powder, add in 1-2 extra teaspoons of a maple syrup/liquid sweetener of choice according to taste. Reduce the milk by 60-80ml and add in one teaspoon at a time if needed thereafter until you get the right consistency. Always better to start with less liquid and add more! Add less milk if using whey protein
