- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons (250 grams) all-purpose flour
ingredients
For the Filling
- 2 cups (500 grams) quark (or substitute with cream cheese or ricotta)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
ingredients
For the Topping
- Fresh blackberries, adjusted to taste
- Sliced almonds, adjusted to taste
Method
To prepare the crust:
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, egg, baking powder, granulated sugar, and flour.
Step 2
Knead the ingredients together until a smooth dough forms. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes while you prepare the filling.
To make the filling:
Step 1
In another bowl, mix the quark (or cream cheese), eggs, lemon zest, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and sugar until smooth and creamy.
To assemble the tart:
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 10-inch (26 cm) tart pan. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
Step 2
On a floured surface, roll out the dough and press it evenly into the bottom and sides of the tart pan.
Step 3
Prick the base of the dough with a fork to prevent air bubbles.
Step 4
Pour the filling over the crust and spread it evenly. Tap the tart pan lightly on the countertop to smooth the surface.
Step 5
Arrange the blackberries evenly over the filling. Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.
Step 6
Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
Cool and serve:
Step 1
Allow the tart to cool completely before removing it from the pan. If desired, dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.
Step 2
Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
