ingredients

  • 1 cups Almond Flour (as needed)
  • 1/2 cups Almonds
  • 1/2 cups Walnuts
  • 1/2 cups Pecans
  • 1/2 cups Pistachios
  • 3 cups Pitted Dates (pre-soaked in water for about 30 minutes)
  • 3/4 cups Dried Rose Petals
  • 1/2 cups Almond Butter

Method

  • Step 1

In a skillet, dry roast all the nuts together. This is optional though! I like the flavor of roasted nuts in these squares.

  • Step 2

In a food processor, finely chop all the nuts along with about 1/2 cup rose petals.

  • Step 3

Puree the dates and almond butter together.

  • Step 4

Line a half sheet pan with parchment paper. If you don’t have parchment paper, then just grease the pan with some oil or butter.

  • Step 5

In a bowl, mix the puree and the nuts and rose petal crumble. Gradually add the almond flour and about 1 to 2 tablespoons of water, if needed, until mixture forms a crumbly dough. You should be able to pinch some of the mixture between your fingers and have it hold its shape. If the mixture is still crumbly, add another tablespoon or two of water.

  • Step 6

Pour the mixture into the sheet pan and press firmly into an even layer. The more you press, the more compact and sturdy, the squares will be. (use the back of a mason jar to press the mixture, if needed).

  • Step 7

Sprinkle with rose petals and some roughly chopped nuts and gently press into dough.

  • Step 8

    Cut into squares and enjoy!
