  • Tajin (for rimming)
  • 2 1/5 cups Frozen mango slices
  • 2 ounces Habanero simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 ounces Fresh lime juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces Cointreau
  • 3 ounces Tequila blanco

Habanero Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 sliced habanero (with seeds, optional)

Method

  • Step 1

    In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar to a boil.

  • Step 2

    Add the sliced habanero to the mixture.

  • Step 3

    Reduce the heat to a low simmer and let it cook for about 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 4

    Strain the syrup to remove the habanero slices.

  • Step 5

    Transfer the syrup to an airtight jar and store it in the fridge for later use.

Margarita

  • Step 1

    Rim the glasses with Tajin.

  • Step 2

    In a blender, combine 2.5 cups of frozen mango slices, 2 oz of habanero simple syrup, 1.5 oz of fresh lime juice, 1.5 oz of Cointreau, and 3 oz of tequila blanco.

  • Step 3

    Blend until smooth and well combined.

  • Step 4

    Pour the margarita mixture into the rimmed glasses.
