Banana Bred
- 2 large bananas
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons Nutella®
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup toasted walnuts (optional)

- 2 tablespoons Nutella®
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Method
Banana Bread
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a standard 9” loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Whisk in the sugars and nutella. Add the butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Whisk together until well combined.
Step 4
With a wooden spoon, stir the dry ingredients into the wet banana mixture. Mix until fully incorporated. Stir in the toasted walnuts if using.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes. Until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 15 minutes before removing from the pan.
Nutella® Drizzle
Step 1
In a microwave safe bowl, add the Nutella and milk and microwave for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Remove from the microwave and slowly whisk in the powdered sugar until it forms an icing consistency.
Step 3
Pour over the slightly cooled banana bread. Let the banana bread and drizzle set Completely before slicing. Serve at room temperature.
