No-bake Salted Chocolate Tart

ingredients
Biscuit base
- 125 grams digestive biscuits
- 125 grams oreo cookies
- 100 grams butter, melted
Method
Step 1
Crush the biscuits in a blender or use a rolling pin. Combine with melted butter.
Step 2
Tip the mixture into a tart mould and press it firmly into the base and up the sides. Freeze at least one hour or until set.

Chocolate filling
- 400 grams semi-sweet baking chocolate, chopped
- 400 grams cream
- 2 salt
- 2 tbsp butter
Step 1
Start by pouring water into a saucepan halfway and bring to a simmer.
Step 2
Place a steel or glass bowl over the simmering water and stir the chocolate, salt and cream till the mixture is smooth and combined.
Step 3
Take off the heat and stir in the butter (this gives it a glossy finish). Pour the filling over the set biscuit base and even out the top as neatly as you can.
Step 4
Chill in the fridge until set.
ingredients
Cherry cinnamon sauce
- 2 cups cherries, pitted
- 2 tbsp sugar, or to taste
- 1/2 cup water or white wine
- 1 cinnamon stick
Step 1
Add the cherries, sugar, cinnamon and water/wine and cook till the cherries are soft and all ingredients combined. Add a couple of tablespoons of water if required.
Step 2
Discard the cinnamon.
Step 3
Pour spoonfuls of the sauce over the tart or serve it on the side.
