(5)
"Cheesy fried macaroni balls are my favorite appetizer. Everything cheese is my favorite !! I used @annieshomegrown Cheesy Bunnies as the bread crumbs for the macaroni bites. I then filled them with Annie's Cheddar Mac & Cheese. #ad @thefeedfeed Find my recipe on @thefeedfeed: http://ff.recipes/Annies Annie's products are on sale the month of August @naturalgrocers in Steamboat Springs, including Natural Mac & Cheese, Organic Bunny Crackers & Grahams, and Organic Fruit Snacks. #annieshomegrown #feedfeed #cookitkelly_"

ingredients

  • 1 box Annie’s Shells and Real Aged Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Annie Super Cheesy Cheddar Bunnies, crumbled
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup vegetable oil, or more
  • dipping sauce, of your choice

Method

  • Step 1

Cook mac and cheese according to package directions. Transfer to a bowl and cool completely, about 1 hour.

  • Step 2

Once completely cooled, grab a ping pong-size scoop and shape into balls. You should make about 8-10 balls.

  • Step 3

Heat oil in a deep saucepan over medium heat, until temperature reaches about 350 degrees F when tested with a thermometer. While oil is heating, place flour, crumbled Cheddar Bunnies and egg into 3 separate bowls.

  • Step 4

Coat each mac and cheese ball first in flour, then egg, then Cheddar Bunnies. Add balls to hot oil a few at a time. Fry until golden brown.

  • Step 5

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
