From this afternoon when we gathered with family and close friends to celebrate the Birthdays of our sons. Just as last year we kept the menu simple. This year we shared a snack platter of vegetables, crackers, soft cheese, homemade hummus, olives, and nuts. The main meal was my variation of a Niçoise salad with homemade Italian dressing. And dessert, per my children's request, was a raw chocolate cashew cake with fruit. Glad there is just a tiny piece left, because that cake really has all of our hearts!
