  • 1 can Muir Glen Organic Diced Tomatoes
  • 3 cups garbanzo beans (cooked or canned, drained and rinsed)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 8 large fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves

Method

  • Step 1

    Place all of the ingredients—garbanzo beans, Muir Glen Organic Diced Tomatoes, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, nutritional yeast, fresh basil leaves, olive oil, and garlic cloves—into a high-speed blender or food processor.

  • Step 2

    Process until the mixture is rich, thick, and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything blends evenly.

  • Step 3

    Transfer the desired amount of hummus to a serving bowl. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with chili flakes for added flavor and presentation, if desired.
