It’s quite simple honestly just toast your bread with some cheese=comfort food….but let’s take it up a few notches with this fancy but easy grilled cheese.

ingredients
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 3/4 cup shredded havarti cheese (or soft cheese of your choice)
- 1/2 avocado, thinly sliced
- 2 figs, thinly sliced
- 4 basil leaves
- Butter, for cooking
- Hot honey or raw honey, for drizzling
Method
Step 1
Take your pieces of sourdough & lightly spread a little butter on one side of each bread.
Step 2
Add 1/2 the cheese, avocado slices, figs (be sure to pack it down with your hands gently so nothing falls out). Add the basil leaves & the rest of the cheese then top with the other piece of bread.
Step 3
Take a knob of butter & heat up your skillet. Add the sandwich once the pan has warmed up with the butter. Cover the skillet with a lid then let cook on both sides until the cheese is melted about a few min, flip to the other side & repeat.
Step 4
Serve with a drizzle of honey & garnish with sesame seeds. Slice, enjoy, and take a bite of heaven.
