ingredients
- 1 crumbled Fresh Polish Sausage
- 1 medium diced onion
- 3 ribs diced celery
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 3 each diced pears
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 3 tabelspoons chopped fresh sage
- 1 tabelspoons chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tabelspoons chopped fresh rosemary
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3 each beaten eggs
- 1/2 cups grated asiago cheese
- 2 tabelspoons butter
- 1 loaf dried bread
Method
Step 1
In a stockpot, cook the sausage on medium heat until cooked through. Remove from pot and set aside.
Step 2
Add onions, celery, garlic, and pears to the pot. Sauté until tender. Add sage, thyme, rosemary, and cranberries. Stir until combined.
Step 3
Add white wine and let reduce about 1 minute. Add cooked sausage back to the pot as well as chicken stock and butter. Once broth begins to simmer, remove from heat and stir in bread until all of the bread is moistened.
Step 4
Add eggs and cheese and stir until completely combined. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Transfer mixture into a prepared casserole dish and bake uncovered at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes until heated through and golden brown on top. Enjoy!!
