  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (or tomato paste)
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for garnish
  • Sour cream, for serving

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  • Step 2

Dice the sweet potato into small cubes and spread them out on a baking sheet.

  • Step 3

Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil and toss to coat.

  • Step 4

Bake for 20 minutes or until fork-tender. Set aside.

  • Step 5

In a large Dutch oven or pot, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat.

  • Step 6

Add the ground turkey and cook for about 5 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon until browned.

  • Step 7

Stir in the chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Step 8

Add the Better Than Bouillon Sofrito Base and mix well. Remove the turkey mixture from the pot and set aside.

  • Step 11

Cover and let cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. For a deeper flavor, you can let it simmer longer.

  • Step 12
