ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon, skin removed, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup, plus 2 tablespoons for drizzling
  • 2 tablespoons San-J No Soy Tamari
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional, for heat)
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • Step 2

Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  • Step 3

In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, minced ginger, San-J No Soy Tamari, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Step 4

Place the salmon bites in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated. Let marinate for 10 minutes in the refrigerator.

  • Step 5

Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them. Brush or drizzle any remaining marinade over the top for extra flavor. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  • Step 6

Drizzle the reserved 2 tablespoons of maple syrup over the salmon bites. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately with steamed rice, quinoa, or a side of vegetables.
