  • 6 scallions, sliced into 1-inch pieces

  • 1 yellow onion, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 6-8 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch piece of ginger
  • 1 tablespoon raw sugar
  • 1/2 cup Korean red chili flakes (gochugaru)

  • 1 pound white daikon radish, cut into thin 2-inch sticks

  • 2 scallions, cut in half lengthwise, then into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 garlic cloves, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 inch piece of ginger, grated or minced
  • 1 fresh chili pepper, sliced thinly
