Rosemary And Sweet Fig Scones
The deliciously warm scent of rosemary and sweet fig wafted through my house this morning as these scones baked to perfection. A little bit sweet, a little bit savory, and a whole lot of yummm!!

Recipe: Fig & Rosemary Scones ~ Heat oven to 425. In a large bowl whisk together 2 c. flour, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp fresh chopped rosemary. Dice 1/2 cup dried figs and add to the flour mixture, tossing by hand to make sure the figs do not clump together. Add 1 1/4 c. heavy cream and mix with a fork just until the dough comes together. Gather dough in a ball and knead it a few times against the bowl until the bowl in fairly clean. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and pat into an 8 inch round. Cut 8 wedges, brush tops with cream, sprinkle with sugar, and garnish with rosemary sprigs. Place on baking sheet and bake for 15 min. Serve warm, YUM!!!
