ingredients

  • 3 lbs Pork butt
  • 1515 oz Dr Pepper
  • Sweet & Smoky Rub
  • 1 bottle Zero Sugar Kinder’s Original BBQ Sauce

Method

  • Step 1

    Trim any excess fat from your butt then season it with run, massaging it in thoroughly.

  • Step 2

    Place your seasoned butt in a large crockpot and pour your Dr Pepper over the meat.

  • Step 3

    Secure the lid then cook for 6-8 hours. You will know it’s done if your meat shreds with 2 forks with ease - meat should temp to 145°f.

  • Step 4

    Once cooking is complete, pour over desired amount of sauce - I prefer a little drizzle but my family likes the whole bottle plus more for serving.

  • Step 5

    Serve on it’s own, on Hawaiian buns, over a salad, alongside cole slaw, whatever!
